Blepharoplasty
(eyelid surgery)

A blepharoplasty is done to remove the excess fat and drooping skin of the upper eyelids and minimize bags under the eyes and tighten the lower eyelid skin. This procedure is primarily done to improve appearance. However, upper eyelid surgery can be done to improve visual field. The result is a more alert and rested appearance. This is an outpatient surgical procedure.
